This self-study online course aims to provide an overview of Quality Improvement (QI) Tools, by giving you the basic knowledge to support its implementation in any healthcare setting. This course will cover the principles of healthcare quality, concepts, and application of QI models and QI tools and their appropriate usage.
Course Objectives
This self-study online course is for all levels to form a basic understanding of the concepts and tools typically used in Quality Improvement (QI) projects. It will introduce the fundamentals of quality improvement in healthcare. Topics include the science and methods of improvement, features of effective teams, use of the right tools, and how to implement the change for improvement.

Infection Control Expert
Sm Tianseng (STS) is principal trainer and founder of STS Academia. He had provided training and consultancy on Infection Control, Quality & Safety to hospitals and institutions in Singapore and the region. STS had worked previously as a chief infection control officer at Parkway Pantai Hospitals in Singapore for more than 10 years and served as a lecturer at Parkway College. He was an adjunct lecturer at Flinders University, Master of Health Administration program conducted in Singapore since 2012 until 2022.
