About the Communicable Diseases Agency

The Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA) of Singapore was established in April 2025 and is a statutory board under the Ministry of Health. CDA is Singapore’s public health authority for communicable diseases, with a mission to protect Singapore from infectious diseases through excellence in public health expertise and capabilities.

CDA’s formation marks an important step in Singapore’s forward-looking approach to public health — consolidating command, control, and coordination of public health responses under one dedicated agency. This strategic integration strengthens Singapore’s infectious disease management and preparedness capabilities, enabling rapid responses to outbreaks and robust readiness for future pandemics.
